Arlington Dems Aim To Provide Obama Margin!
If Barack Obama's road to the White House is to run through Virginia, Arlington Democrats have formulated a plan to provide his margin of victory. Party officials are aiming to give Obama a 60,000-plus-vote margin of victory in the county in November, which, they hope, will help him become the first Democrat to win the commonwealth's electoral votes since Lyndon Johnson's 1964 landslide. “This is not a pipe dream - this is going to happen,” Arlington County Democratic Committee chairman Peter Rousselot said at the party's annual Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner, held July 11 at the Westin Arlington Gateway.

But why wait: This one is such a one-sided affair that it should be over before it begins. As a result, the Sun Gazette comes out of the gate early in endorsing Mark Warner for the seat.
