Action not anger! The outcome of the 2016 election was brutally disappointing, but Arlingtonians have a unique opportunity to turn their anger into action in a way that will matter a great deal on the national stage. 2017 will feature key races in Virginia for Governor, Lt. Governor and Attorney General — all of which are likely to be very close. The nation will be watching the outcome of these elections closely. In addition, there will be General Assembly races critical to the every day lives of Virginians. Now is the time to get involved.
The Arlington County Democratic Committee is committed to doing what we can to fight for our Democratic candidates. We will need everyone’s help to once again send as many votes downstate as we can. Interested in getting involved in our activities? Please join us January 10th or 18th for an Open House — i.e., an opportunity to meet our Committee leadership, to learn about what we’re already planning for 2017, to share your ideas, and to figure out how you can best plug in.
When and Where:
January 10 at National Rural Electronic Cooperative Association (NRECA) Building, 4301 Wilson Blvd., at 7pm (free parking in the underground lot, Taylor St entrance)
January 18 at Walter Reed Community Center, 2909 16th St. S, at 7pm
If you know which date you can come, please RSVP Here. It’s okay to come at the last minute without an rsvp.
We would also like to hear your ideas and suggestions for new approaches and ways that you might supplement our standard lineup of activities. All ideas are welcome!
