Mail-In Voting
The deadline to request a mail ballot for this Special Election is 5:00 pm Friday, April 10. If you are on the permanent absentee voting list you will still receive a ballot. If you did not request a ballot by the deadline and won't be able to vote on Tuesday, April 21, please make arrangements to vote early in person.
If you plan to use a mail ballot, we highly recommend returning it to an open drop box or voting location instead of mailing it! This election has a tight turnaround time, and between the winter weather and recent changes to Postal Service postmarking policies, it is much more reliable to return it in person!

Returning you mail ballot: Your ballot must be postmarked by April 21 and received by 12:00 PM, April 24.

What's On the Ballot

Question: Should the Constitution of Virginia be amended to allow the General Assembly to temporarily adopt new congressional districts to restore fairness in the upcoming elections, while ensuring Virginia's standard redistricting process resumes for all future redistricting after the 2030 census?
