What Is the School Board Endorsement Vote?

School board candidates aren’t listed by party on Arlington’s ballots, and so there isn’t a primary. Arlington Democrats does, however, endorse school board candidates for the General Election. We choose who to endorse with an endorsement vote, which follows the rules approved by the Committee earlier this year.

Candidate Filing Form

Any school board candidate can apply for Democratic Party endorsement by completing and submitting this form. The form should be submitted by emailing it to chair@arlingtondemocrats.org. The form must be submitted no later than 7:30 p.m. EST on Friday, February 27, 2026.
