Last week, Senator Adam Ebbin announced he is resigning from the Virginia Senate to serve in Governor-elect Spanberger’s administration. As required by state law, Senate Pro Tempore Louise Lucas signed a writ calling a Special Election for Tuesday, February 10. But before that, the Arlington and Alexandria Democrats will hold a firehouse primary tomorrow to determine the Democratic nominee to replace him.
In the coming weeks, there are two important opportunities for you to have your voice heard in selecting our next Virginia State Senator for the 39th District.
