Arlington Democrats Endorse Bethany Zecher Sutton for Re-Election to Arlington County School Board

ARLINGTON, Va. Wednesday, Mar. 4, 2026 — Tonight, the Arlington County Democratic Committee (“Arlington Democrats”) formally endorsed Bethany Zecher Sutton for re-election to the Arlington County School Board at its March committee meeting.

Zecher Sutton, who currently serves as Chair of the Arlington School Board, was the only candidate to file for the Democratic endorsement. Following her filing, members voted unanimously to extend the Committee’s endorsement in advance of the November general election.

“I am grateful for the endorsement of the Arlington Democrats and for the opportunity to continue serving our community,” said Zecher Sutton. “Arlington Public Schools are strongest when we work together as families, educators, staff, and community members to support every student. I look forward to continuing that work and building on the progress we’ve made.”

Zecher Sutton has served on the Arlington School Board since 2023 and was elected Chair in 2025. During her tenure, she has focused on academic excellence, fiscal responsibility, support for educators, and ensuring that every student in Arlington has access to a high-quality public education.
