Arlington Democrats to Host 8th Congressional District Candidate Forum and Vote on Three Constitutional Amendment Resolutions
ARLINGTON, Va. June 29, 2026 – The Arlington County Democratic Committee will host a candidate forum on Wednesday, July 1, featuring the five candidates seeking the Democratic nomination for Virginia’s 8th Congressional District. The committee will also vote on three resolutions endorsing constitutional amendments that will appear on Virginia's November 3, 2026, ballot.
The forum will provide voters with an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates about their priorities and visions for representing Northern Virginia in Congress. The event will be moderated by Ambassador Yohannes Abraham.
Candidates participating in the forum include:

● Michael Duffin
● Adam Dunigan
● Hon. Mo Seifeldein
● Lorena Thorne Bruner
Prior to the forum, the committee will convene its monthly meeting and consider resolutions endorsing three proposed amendments to the Virginia Constitution: a Right to Reproductive Freedom Amendment, a marriage equality amendment, and an amendment to automatically restore voting rights upon release from incarceration.
The candidate forum will follow the committee meeting.
