In June of this year, Arlington County became the first locality in the commonwealth to conduct a state-run election using Ranked Choice Voting. The implementation of this new kind of ballot - designed to give voters a more thorough say in who represents them AND to select candidates that more accurately reflect the voters - was smooth and effective. Plus, over 84% of voters saw one of their top 3 choices secure a nomination!
